THE BALLET SCHOOL
PreBallet –Adv/Pointe Classes; are focused on teaching classical ballet technique to produce confident dancers who will be able to use their ballet base to explore all aspects of dance.  Classes will perform in the December recital as well as the Spring Revue where we will be presenting an original Ballet, “Peter Pan.”  Each student should have; black leotard, black short shear wrap skirt, pink tights, pink well fitting ballet slippers with the bows tucked in , hair secured back in a bun.  Students may register for Ballet classes only, add a ballet class to a Star or Majestic class, or choose to take classes in a variety of styles.

COMBO CLASSES/STAR TEAMS
Combination Ballet, Jazz,  Tap,  Tumbling, and Creative Movement, these classes are designed for beginning students to develop coordination, balance, strength, rhythm, correct posture, and creativity.  They consist of organized exercises in repetition: specific dance steps and creative expression.  These classes make up our beginning teams which meet for 1 hour a week and usually perform three of four times during the year.  All classes will take part in our original Ballet, “Peter Pan,” as well as present dances of other styles in the Spring Revue.  These classes are structured to give beginning dancers the experience, technique and self-esteem to join Majestic teams and will not be participating in dance competitions this year.
MAJESTIC/PERFORMING TEAMS
Majestic 1, 2, 3, & 4 make up Dance Magic’s Performance Teams.   Majestic 4 meets once a week for 1.5 hours and include Jazz, Ballet, Tap, & Tumbling.  Majestics 1-3 meet twice a week for up to 4 hours and include Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, and Tumbling Classes.    These teams will perform numerous times at different community events and attend 1 or 2 local competitions; Majestic Teams require that a dancer have previous dance experience, demonstrate proper technique and have a positive attitude.  All classes will take part in our original Ballet, “Peter Pan,” as well as present dances of other styles in the Spring Revue.
PREMIER & JR PREMIER TEAMS
Majestic 1,2, & 3 dancers may audition for and be placed on a Premier team.  Premier team members have outstanding technique and dedication.  These teams meet for 45 min-1 hour per week, in addition to their Majestic Classes, and will attend the same competitions and performances.
JAZZ TECHNIQUE CLASS
Designed to prepare dancers for High School Drill Teams and continue to challenge High School Team members.  Technique is taught and reinforced  through exciting combinations as well as organized exercises.  This class is open to  every dancer.  No costumes or performances required.
HIP HOP
Clean, upbeat and challenging hip hop classes for everyone.  Choose from all Guys Class, or Girls Hip Hop.  Classes will perform throughout the year.
CHEER
Learn and use skills in Cheerleading, Dance, and Tumbling.  All ages and levels welcome.  Cheer class will not compete, but will perform throughout the year.
TUMBLING
Basic Tumbling skills will be taught and practiced safely for fun and strength.  This class will not perform and may be registered for in addition to other classes or by itself.
MOMMY & ME
For girls and boys!  Our Mom & Tot class gives children the opportunity to experience dance in a fun and creative way with the security of having a parent with them.  This is a 45min class for children ages 18months-3years, it is being offered free of charge this year as Dance Magic’s way of giving back to our community and encouraging young dancers.
