Announcement from Rochelle

Dear Dance Magic Dancers & Parents,

Many of you heard our exciting announcement last month about the new owner/director of Dance Magic & The Ballet School.  As you may know, my family and I will be moving to Richfield this summer, we are opening an office for Ensign Engineering there.  We are excited for the opportunity and to be close to extended family, at the same time we’re really sad to leave Cedar City and the wonderful friends we have here and at the studio. Thank you so much for your friendship and allowing me to work with your children.  I have loved my job every day because of them.
I want to take this opportunity to formally introduce Jenny Rowley, who many of you already know and love.  She is amazing and so wonderful to work with.  I know I am leaving Dance Magic & The Ballet School in good hands and look forward to her creative direction.  Here is a little about

Jenny Rowley:

Jenny fell in love with dance from the first moment she stepped onto a dance floor.  She has over 25 years of dance experience, with extensive training in jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern, lyrical, contemporary, cheerleading, and tumbling.  Jenny grew up in Taylorsville, Utah where she trained with Dance Image Productions, Extravadance, Klassix, and CDS.  She was named Outstanding Senior Dancer at Taylorsville High School, where she was a member of the Taylorsville Dance Company, Varsity Cheerleading Squad, and competed as a Taylorsville High School Songleader.

Jenny attended college on dance and drill team scholarships, as well as leadership and softball scholarships.  She was named the overall Collegiate Dance Camp All-Star by the United Spirit Association.  In college, she studied modern, jazz, ballet, and dance composition.  Jenny performed in the student dance concerts at Southern Utah University.  She was a collegiate drill team member for four years, where she served in many different leadership positions, such as:  President, Vice President, Captain, and Head Choreographer.  She also has over four years combined high school and collegiate cheerleading experience where she served as Head Cheerleader.  Jenny has a strong passion for the performing arts and has had the privilege of performing at a San Francisco 49ers/Raiders NFL game, several Utah Jazz games, Disneyland and in a variety of musicals.

Jenny has been choreographing for over 15 years.  She studied choreography in college and with the United Spirit Association.  She has choreographed for various high school and collegiate teams, as well as junior high schools and studios.  Her choreography has won many awards and has placed at invitational and state drill team competitions.  She is a former high school drill team coach and served as an Assistant Director for several Jr. Drill team competitions.

She has been judging dance, cheerleading, and drill team competitions for ten years.  She is a state-certified drill team judge and a member of the Utah Dance Judges Association.  She graduated from Snow College and Southern Utah University.

Jenny and her husband, Daniel, have lived in Cedar City for ten years.  They have three beautiful children (Hayley, Ava, and Wyatt).  Daniel is a firefighter with the Cedar City Fire Department and he enjoys serving the community.  Jenny is extremely excited to be the new Director of Dance Magic and The Ballet School.  She cares deeply about each dancer and is excited to watch the studio grow in upcoming years.  Jenny believes there is nothing better than watching a child discover the joy of dancing.

Jenny and I would like to invite you to register for our fantastic summer dance session; the schedule is now available on the website, http://www.mydancemagic.com/.  To register, email Jenny at jenny.rowley@mydancemagic.com or call 463-1969.  There is a $5 discount per class if you register by May 31st.  We also invite you to tell your friends and neighbors about the wonderful experience you and your children have at Dance Magic & The Ballet School.  Please invite them to join us for summer dance and at our May 23rd Revue and Peter Pan Ballet.  Your word of mouth is the best advertising, as well as the biggest compliment to our studio.

Summer Dance this year will be held at the Cedar City Aquatic Center, in their beautiful multipurpose/dance space.  Jenny and I have decided not to continue the lease on our current dance location.  We have found a more economical (for us and you) and equally fun and functional location, that will be announced soon, and ready for dance in August!
Much love and many thanks,
Rochelle Crane
